Tactile Interfaces
Every audience member is provided with a physical "egg" to hold throughout the performance. These objects function as personal, touch-sensitive controllers.
Real-Time Influence
During specific stages of the concert narrative, interacting with the eggs allows the audience to manipulate the environment. Touching the interface can trigger real-time audio additions, such as injecting new musical notes into the live composition, or spawn visual elements, like shooting meteors, on the main screen behind the band.
System Architecture
All interaction design and logic were built entirely within TouchDesigner, which received the sensor data from the audience interfaces and routed it to the corresponding audio and visual outputs.
Stage Integration
TouchDesigner was also utilized to execute projection mapping onto the physical stage decorations, extending the narrative visuals beyond the main screen and blending the interactive elements with the physical set design.
